The Cinematic Orchestra – Man With The Movie Camera
I am a true big Cinematic Orchestra fan.
Their music is always full of surprises with cool break-beat rhythm and arrangement.
Here is one of their famous tracks, which the nu-jazz group made for Dziga Vertov’s 1929 mute movie as background music several years ago.
The movie itself is a gem, with the Russian director Vertov capturing scenes from people’s daily lives.
It comes out simply brilliant and astonishing!

一個夢, 一個虛構的故事
虛設的角色, 不分晝夜按天馬行空的劇本演戲
越是美好的夢. 越是令人眷戀
夢中人, 沒有誰會為白夢一場帶來的虛無失落而哀歎
他們都對夢想懷有信念, 確信終有一天能把夢境帶到現實
奈何現實容不下夢
夢還是夢, 是美麗的謊言, 是徹底的虛幻
原來一切皆是憑空想像, 毫無根據, 充其量是個無稽的笑話
原來現實依舊殘酷
夢醒後各人如常生活, 難以忘懷的激情和感動只能壓抑心底
甚麼夢想目標盡成泡影, 化為烏有
原來心力交瘁換來的只有寂寞
最後剩下痛苦, 怨憤, 無盡唏噓
然後

靜待下一個夢伴隨的折騰
